And Bingo was it's name-o!

And Bingo was it's name-o!

Yeah, those are all nice numbers but we didn't win a DARN thing!

Last night was the first 'Snack Bag Bingo' (I think Bag Of Shit Bingo is a better name) at big A's school. You're probably wondering why it's called that, right? Well each month a different grade is responsible for providing the snack bags for the night, which are used as prizes.

People bring large grocery bags filled with crap snacks and stuff. I saw everything from cupcake wrappers with mix and frosting to two liter bottles of soda, from bags of chips to boxes of popcorn and everything in between. As fun as it would have been for the kids to win something, it's almost better they didn't! We need more crap in our house like I need a hole in my head!

Anyhow... The kids were SUPER excited about going to Bingo, but that lasted until about halfway through the second card. We're talking casino style Bingo here, people! You purchase packs of Bingo cards and daubers at the door, there is a caller in the front, you play different types of games (kite in one of the upper corners, large T, black-out, etc.), etc. It was a little much for the kids, and honestly, it was a little much for me. I'm used to playing Bingo in Laughlin where you don't have time to blink between numbers being called. This was S L O W and the kids were way more interested in making dot pictures on the table clothes than playing another game of Bingo.

We may give it another try at some point in the future, but I think we'll skip a few in between and maybe we'll leave Little A at home next time. It could be a fun Mommy and Big A date or a Daddy and Big A night on the town.
