Bike Riding And Balancing

Today was a BIG DAY in our house... Yes, Big A learned to ride his bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS! It was amazing! He was so sure he couldn't do it and now it's all he can talk about. He can't wait to tell his teacher, his friends, and anyone else who will listen. Sad but true, my baby is growing up!

He started out with Grandpa holding onto his shirt, and then, just like that, he was off and riding! He rode around and around the basketball courts and then decided he was ready to go around the block.

We decided perhaps he wasn't QUITE ready for the block, but took him about a quarter of the way around and let him ride around in the parking lot for another 10 minutes. He rode back and forth and back and forth screaming the whole time, "THIS IS AWESOME!" SO CUTE! He was SOOO excited!

Little A rode too. She's grown so much in the past couple of months that she's too big for this little bike. I can't believe how quickly my kids are growing up!

Unlike Big A, Little A tired quickly and decided to practice her gymnastics on the curb. She walked back and forth balancing carefully.

Then she decided to try the bear walk on the 'balance beam'. They're LOVING their gymnastics classes and more and more I'm finding them bouncing, balancing, climbing, twirling and flipping around my couches, walls, beds, etc. Oh well... At least they're learning to do it safely!

And finally... When I forced them to come in for dinner...

They rode off into the sunset...

Happy May Day!
