Family Fun Day

Today was the first day in quite some time that we didn't have anything in particular to do. We didn't have much planned and enjoyed spending a sunny Saturday as a family. We started the day with a baseball game at which Little A was awarded the game ball. She was So excited! She's been working hard every game in hopes that she would get that ball, and she finally did! Yeah, Little A! Well done!

After baseball we headed off for haircuts (all of us except B... He has no hair to cut!). Big A got a short summer cut but B lost the battle for a buzz cut. He had Big A convinced up until the time he was sitting in the chair and Deena (the hair cutter) told him what a buzz cut was. At that point he looked at B and said, "Why would I want a buzz cut? Those are stupid!" Oops! I guess he told B!

Haircuts were followed by lunch at one of the kids' favorite 'dives', Roy's Chicago Hot Dogs. You'll notice that Little A's hair is all over to one side now, making her look TOTALLY different... She has decided to grow her bangs out and now has to keep them clipped to one side, braided, or in a headband so that they're not in her face. I can hardly wait to see what daddy decides to do every morning... YIKES! Too bad every day isn't crazy hair day!

African Cats is a term heard frequently in our house since the movie came out on Earth Day and we finally saw it yesterday afternoon. African Cats is the new DisneyNature movie and we highly recommend it (along with their 2009 movie, Earth, and their 2010 movie, Oceans). We're now waiting excitedly for the 2012 Earth Day release of Chimpanzees!

Let's see... What else did we do yesterday... Two trips to Target, one trip to Office Depot, a quick trip to Swirl Time and dinner at El Torrito! BUSY, but fun-filled and enjoyable! No schedule, no rushing, just fun and silliness!

I love these guys! I hope we can do it again soon!
