Forts, Games, Lighted Tractor Parades And Christmas Parties... WHEW!

This weekend was cold, rainy and packed with activities, but tons of fun!

We started out Saturday by building a giant fort in the living room...

And after playing in the fort for awhile, we all laid around and played the new games Big A had received for his birthday. We don't do that often enough and it was really nice to just spend family time together!

Saturday evening we headed to Calistoga for the annual Lighted Tractor Parade. Neither cold nor rain was going to stop us die hard tractor fans!

In all honesty it didn't rain too hard. There was a light but annoying 'misty' rain that lasted from the time we staked out our spots to just after the parade started, but the majority of that time was spent inside a restaurant so it was no big deal!

I just LOVE seeing how much these two love each other! They were standing up watching the parade and Little A just started rubbing Big A's back... SOOO SWEET!
After the parade we stopped at Weaver's Winter Wonderland, a house that is TOTALLY decked out for Christmas and has been featured on ABC and other local news shows. It's PRETTY AWESOME!

When we got home Big A asked if he could sleep downstairs in the fort. I was hesitant to let him sleep downstairs by himself (Who knows why... Lame, I know!) and I eventually gave in and let him, thinking that there was no way he'd do it. Proved me wrong! He stayed down there ALL night!

Sunday we went to church and then ran errands before heading to our church Christmas pot-luck and sing-along. It was fun, as usual, and my kids will never forget the fact that I had to jump on my pew and shake my bootie! Don't ask!

Busy, busy... Proof that the Christmas season is in FULL swing!
