Cookie Day!

Today was cooking making day! Little A and I went to Grandma and Grandpa's to spend the day (or at least a few hours in the afternoon) making cookies with Grandma. We hadn't planned what kinds of cookies to make, so Grandma pulled out her old, tin recipe box and started going through it. While she was looking through a stack of cards, Little A started naming the pictures on the box. It took me a minute to realize what she was doing...

From the bottom, right corner going around the box... Tea, walnut, pumpkin pie, beer, lemon, map... TOO CUTE!

Little A wanted 'sprinkle cookies' so we finally decided on sugar cookies and fudge with cherries and walnuts.

Little A helped Grandma make the 'sprinkle cookie' dough while I made pecan praline bars (recipe coming!) and lasagna. They cut butter, measured things, sifted flour, and just had fun!
After the dough chilled, Grandma rolled it out and cut it and then Little A got to sprinkle to her heart's desire... And eat a few sprinkles here and there... Talk about a happy little girl!

I'm not sure what we'll do with all of those cookies, and we've yet to make the powdered sugar balls, but we sure had fun!
