MORE BUTTERFLIES!!

I'm sorry if you're bored with this but I just think it is SOOO cool! Here's an email from mom to a few friends and family members...

"This morning we had another butterfly! That made three. Unfortunately, one of them had died, so we only had two live ones. We told the kids at lunch at the Bear that we would bury the dead one when we got home and release the other two.

Miracle of miracles! Jesus must have visited while we were gone. The (dead) third one was up and flying when we got home. AND, a fourth had emerged... One of the ones on the floor that we didn't think would make it because it was laying in sugar water! The fourth one looked like it had a broken wing, though, but then we determined that the wings were still wet. Now the butterfly keeps spreading its wings trying to dry them out.

So we have four live, healthy butterflies. It has been well worth the money! FUN! And soon we will release them so that they can FLY and "enjoy their freedom outdoors," just like Big A and Little A do in the field!

Four butterflies... 2 with very dry wings and 2 that still have very wet wings. You can see the 5th chrysalis (one of the two we were sure wouldn't make it) on the ground between the two butterflies with wet wings.
