Grandma's Birthday, Veteran's Day, And Little A's First Pedicure

It's been a busy couple of days in the Webb house, and what we tend to refer to in these parts as the beginning of the holidays. Around here the holidays start with Grandma's birthday followed by Veteran's Day, Big A's birthday, Thanksgiving, multiple Christmases, New Years, Little A's birthday and finally ending with Grandpa's birthday on January 5. Throw in there a few birthdays of extended family members, school shows, church plays and holiday parties, and it makes for a busy couple of months.
Last night we celebrated Grandma's birthday with Mary's Pizza and homemade pumpkin pie (thanks, Grandma, for making your own birthday pie!). The kids are always excited for a birthday and according to them, if you have cake, it's a party. They were a little bummed at no cake, but the pumpkin pie with a giant candle worked just fine!
Thank you to all of those Veterans out there who have served our country. Although I enjoy the day off, I truly am thankful for what you've done for us and I'm proud to be an American. I'm also thankful for family and friends and today was a day filled with all of that.
Today we went to the Veteran's Day Parade in Petaluma. We were joined by Grandma and Grandpa as well as the Scmitts.
Little A, Big A, and A being patriotic
I think even Z enjoyed the parade!
Grandma taught us that when the flags come by we should stop playing our trumpets and put our hands over our hearts
The parade is starting!

The Petaluma High School Marching Band

WOW! I'm so glad I didn't have to wear THAT 17 years ago when I led the band!!! YIKES!!

After the parade Grandma and I took Little A for a girl's day and Grandpa took Big A for a boy's day. The boys went to the park, ate ice cream, rode Champion (remember Champion), went to the toy store, went back to the park, and went to see my nephew play basketball. BOY STUFF! The girls did.... Well what else? We did GIRL STUFF!! Shopping for beauty supplies, getting pedicures, grocery shopping, and more shopping. FUN!

Today was Little A's FIRST 'pedicure'. Really she just got polish, but she was SO excited to sit in the massaging chair and get her toes done.

All in all it's been a fun, but tiring, couple of days... And on that note, night night! I've got to rest up for the next party!

ps. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNTIE T!!
