Big A started outdoor soccer this fall. After two rounds of indoor soccer where he decided that he "LOVES" soccer, he was finally old enough for outdoor soccer. He is the youngest on his team, the Soccer Monkeys, and some days are more challenging than others, but overall he has a blast.
Big A plays in the Under 6 Division and like baseball, the focus is on learning and fun. They play 6 five minute sessions with four kids from each team on the field at a time. When he gets his head in the game and enjoys himself, he really plays hard (like tonight... Where did THAT come from???)... Other times he prefers to airplane gaze, pick grass, take a nap in the middle of the field, and just goof off but hey... Give the kid a break, he's four!

The team banner is AWESOME!
Big A prefers practice to games because games are "just too hard"
Water breaks are his favorite!
#20 (he and his friend, William, both ended up with #20)
It's a bird... It's a plane... It's...
I think I lost my contact...
Having fun!

Hopefully he'll enjoy it enough that he'll want to play again next year because I think by next year he'll REALLY get it! GO SOCCER MONKEYS!
