We had planned to take the kids up to visit Grandpa Jim as he was finally home and able to have more visitors. I was hesitant to take the kids up because I didn't want to do anything that may cause him discomfort or wear him out but I really wanted the kids to be able to see him and figured that it might do him good to see them as well. When we found out there was a harvest fair going on and that we should bring the kids, it sounded perfect! We'd go to the harvest fair then visit Grandpa for a few minutes before heading home. Get their faces painted...
Participate in the hula-hoop contest (Not so much butt kickin' there.... They need practice!)
And gulp down some pie in the pie eating contest! (And by the way... Girls are too dainty for pie eating contests... That was left all to the boys in our family! But grown men against little kids is NOT a fair match-up... B won that competition HANDS DOWN! No pun intended...)
