Our Trip To Los Angeles

As previously mentioned, three weeks ago my mom and I took the kids to Los Angeles to visit my 87 year old grandmother. SHe had her second colon cancer surgery in March and hasn't been doing too well since then. She really nejoys playing with the kids, so we thought it would be good to take them down. We probably picked the hottest weekend LA has seen in quite some time!

We left Thursday afternoon and got to LA SUPER late. We checked into our hotel, got our jammies on, and went to bed.

We had to be up and around at a decent time the next morning in order to get to my Grandma's house in time to take her to her doctor appointment but were not in such a rush that the kids couldn't check out the view from our window before we left.

They were in heaven! The moon... The airport... And more airplanes than we could count!

We headed over to grandma's, took her to the doctor, ate lunch at our favorite In-N-Out where you can watch the planes fly right over you and then headed back to grandma's house for much needed naps, visiting, and to let out some pent up energy.

The kids enjoyed playing with Cousin Juliana...

Making chalk drawings (or is this a crime scene?) in the driveway...

Watching the Good Year Blimp fly RIGHT over us...

Snuggling with Grandma...

Hanging out with Great Grandma...

Sunggling with Great Grandma...

And just plain having fun!

Thanks for a great trip, Mom/Grandma!
